Fashion Bound: Una Burke

How often do you adorn yourself in the seasons boldest designs and colors? Have you ever tried a nude calfskin bodice adorned with gold plated studding?; the London-based designer of such conceptual suits of armour appropriately calls them “wearable pieces of art”. Inspired by the subject of human trauma, Una Burke has created works of bondage couture, both provocative in construction and alluring to the eye. Thus you have become Fashion Bound!

Images of the designer’s award-winning collection, titled “RE.TREAT”, feature model Drielle of Premier Models with a sense of empowerment, but also portraying an emotional struggle within. Imagery by photographer Rebecca Parkes beautifully captures Burke’s focus to gain “modern appreciation for leather craftsmanship”–while still allowing her work to exist freely, open to personal interpretation.

At Price of Style, we always like to push the lines of creativity and this certainly qualifies as art meets fashion.
